I think of myself as a mathematics buff with a passion for science, and a keen mind for western philosophy, especially philosophy of mathematics, of science and of consciousness. I earn my livelihood by running a few commercial organizations, which I have cofounded, in the field of finance and artificial intelligence.
Our Indian culture has an apt Sanskrit phrase “Vyasochhishtam jagatam sarva” (व्यासोच्छिष्ट्म् जगतम् सर्वा: ). It means that the great sage Vyas has devoured (mastered) knowledge in all the fields of in the world. The equivalent concept in the western world is the Renaissance Man / Polymath. In this era of hyperspecialization, I dream, foolishly or otherwise, to bear, however feebly, the torch of Vyas.
I love thinking about the challenges presented by the world and dreaming up solutions for them, and implementing solutions on my own for some of the problems.
